A postgraduate English Teaching major really enjoyed English literature while studying for his public exams in the UK. He likes Virginia Woolf’s Mrs Dalloway. He also likes material by Charlotte Bronte and Jane Eyre. He has started reading books on a Kindle.

A pen pal email programme in secondary school allowed this Finance major to learn more about the life of teenagers in the Netherlands. Works by writers such as have given her a different perspective.

Doing group projects with foreign students improved this English major’s language ability. He felt a sense of connection with the characters in Mrs Dalloway which he read for a university course.

A desire to communicate with Hong Kong students and learn about the local culture motivated this English major to work hard. She read Mrs Dalloway for a university literary course.

An exchange to Hawaii made this English major realise that language learning is not limited to vocabulary and grammar. He read Thinking, Fast and Slow, The Lonely Londoners and Mrs Dalloway.
