Chatting with the host family after a day at school complemented this Engineering major’s English learning during an exchange to Australia in Form Three. The Golden Compass was required reading but it was made easier by watching the movie.

Watching The Devil Wears Prada in high school made this Social Science major love English. She read Harry Potter after watching the movies; and the books are more interesting.

A primary school librarian encouraged this Biology major to read three books a week. Nowadays she prefers Chinese fiction but she has read Shopaholic, Marley & Me and The Devil Wears Prada.

Reading Lamb to the Slaughter in Secondary Two was a fresh experience for this Cultural Studies major as he had never read such advanced literary text before. He read The Devil Wears Prada after watching the movie.
