Staying in New York boosted this Nursing major’s confidence in speaking English. She was forced to write many book reports in secondary school. She read The Da Vinci Code but couldn’t understand it.

Forced to memorise vocabulary by her mum, this Translation major hated English. Academic articles were difficult when she was a freshman. She likes reading fiction books such as The Da Vinci Code.

Reading by herself greatly improved this Computer Science’s writing and reading skills. She loves the historical and religious elements in the Da Vinci Code.

The Great Gatsby was taught word by word in this Energy Engineering major’s tutorial class. He read Tuesdays with Morrie and Inferno. Thinking, Fast and Slow taught him how his brain works.

A secondary school teacher impressed this Business major with the way he explained a poem. He read Lord of the Flies but felt the story is weird. He also read The Kite Runner and The Catcher in the Rye for school and other books during his free time.
