The passion of a recently graduated teacher helps after-school. Reading is difficult for someone who prefers pictures to words.

Guessing the meaning of words and discussing it in front of the class enhanced this Management major’s vocabulary. Reading comic books such as Maus entertained her.

As a lover of the performing arts, this Creative Media major was impressed with the Animal Farm opera. The autobiography of Maus was refreshing because she expected it to be heavy and boring.

This Business major‘s speaking skills were improved through presenting his ideas in group discussions. He reads more on the Internet but enjoyed reading about the culture of Iran in a graphic book, Persepolis.

Going on a study tour to the UK encouraged this English major to speak English in front of others and it strengthened her language skills. She enjoyed reading American Born Chinese, a graphic novel by Gene Luen Yang.

Attending a tutorial class taught this Creative Media major examination skills including writing and reading. She read a picture book titled I Want My Hat Back and found it very special.
