Songs and TV shows used by an early career teacher in P3 seemed like a novel experience for this English Language Education major. Basic reading skills allowed her to enjoy Garfield in English.

Listening to music and reading song lyrics enabled this Engineering major to learn the language. Her secondary school teacher also played songs by the Beatles and Michael Jackson. She also read Garfield comics.

Learning grammar was a horrible experience for this Engineering major as it was not useful for daily life nor the DSE. He read the Garfield comic strips in a newspaper but found the language too difficult to understand.
