Trips to Singapore and Australia raised a student’s awareness of accent. She has also read The Trumpet of the Swan, Reader’s Digest, and National Geographic. As an English Teaching major, she feels learning should relate to students.

Teaching English to children in Russia made this Marketing major more aware of the language and improved her spoken English. She read the Young Post, Tuesdays with Morrie, and Charlotte’s Web for assignments in school.

An exchange to Finland made this BBA major realise that practice is the key to English learning. Her primary school teacher read books, like Charlotte’s Web in class. She likes reading movie adaptations such as Divergent.

Watching movies with subtitles in class allowed this student to learn everyday English. She enjoys adventure stories including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Charlotte’s Web and Harry Potter.
